No Electricity, No water supply, and WORST of all NO TOILET!!!!
This time the mission trip was to the foothills of Cameron, a total different view from the usual
cold air, strawberries, roses, chalets and beautiful side views of mountains covered in midst.
It was about dangerous rivers, streams, muddy walk ways, and huts made of bamboos.
We traveled by car to a small village which seemed well managed, till we found it was deeper into the jungle and we had to cross a bridge that with a look you will say, "Owwww DEAR!!"
cos when you look down, it is a dashing river flowing at the speed that could drift you off miles away in seconds.
But we all made it safely across one at a time, some carried 5kg of rice, huge cans of sardines, and drinking water all these plus our heavy luggage .... !!!
After the bridge all you could see is just a small path way and greens, LOTSA GREENS
Most of us had a smooth journey to the village except A**** who had a series of unfortunate events... hahahaha (next time don't wear high heels for jungle tracking)
this is where we stayed
All of us slept in a "long house" or locally called "rumah panjang" where the natives stay.
I spoke to some of the older natives, and i felt welcomed, they spoke with modesty and contentment. Though they do not stand high in the eyes of the people but they live a life that is more luxurious then others. The waters that they drink and bath gives more life than the city's. Seriously! my skin got smoother even with just a few showers at the stream. And they inhale fresh air everyday, bet it is something even your money can't buy!
this is the place where the natives wash their dishes and clothes
and thats Jou Chean's hand..
chickens crowing early in the morning is very annoying....6.30am dude
this is a chicken... hahaha there are many more but lazy to follow them
baby goat sleeping with mummy goat ....
i miss my mummy too
telling the story of how water turn to wine... with the help of Ribena!!! (hahaha)
these are wonderful children, they are helpful and obedient to the elders most of all they understood His love.
Nothing beats these beautiful sceneries, no sounds of engines running, no phones ringing (no line), and no need for money to experience these great wonder
calm waters (stress free)
Picture of water gushing down the slope makes you feel like sliding down as well
me looking very tired but am excited at the same time
